Descendants of John W(illiam?) Dawson Generation No. 1 1. JOHN W(ILLIAM?) DAWSON was born 22 Oct 1809 possibly in Virginia, and died 06 Dec 1885 in Story County, Iowa. He married MARY LOOMIS 31 Jul 1831 in Wooster, Wayne, Ohio, daughter of DANIEL LOOMIS and SARAH OLMSTEAD. Mary was born Abt. 1812 and died in 1877 in Story County, Iowa. This couple is buried in the Peoria Cemetery. They were in the 1850 Federal Census in Hancock County, Ohio, and moved to Story County around 1855. John is mentioned in the History of Story County.
