Now that I have found more information on MY Henry Shank, Sr. ( not the one who died in Ottowa Twsp, Putnam in 1885) I want to trace his path from Tuscarawas County to Richland Twsp which moved from Putnam Cty to Allen Cty between the 1940 and 1950 Censuses. Then, in 1853, he settled in Hancock County where his farm was reported to have been a stop on the Underground Railroad allowing escaped slaves to reach Canada and freedom. I am looking for any/all records of him, his son Robert Flemming Shank and my great grandfather, Albert Clinton Shank ( 1860, St. Joseph's MO to 1957 in Hancock Cty.)
