Ann Matilda SELLERS b. 24 April 1861 to David and Sarah (ROGERS) Sellers. Ann was prob. b. in Noble Co, IN. In 1880, she is working as a domestic in the home of Arthur Wilson in Orvilla, Allen Twp, Noble Co, IN. What happened to Ann? My only clue is a photo which lists her as Ann Matilda JACKSON. The photo is from a studio in McComb, Hancock Co, OH. Is anyone researching JACKSON family from this area? Any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Marilyn in Michigan

I am searching for ancestors & descendants of WILLIAM SEBASTIAN (b.ca. 1764 PA-d.Bet. 1821 & 1830 in prob. Coshocton Co., OH) & his spouse ISABELLA (B. 07 Mar 1771-D.29 Mar 1847). ISABELLA SEBASTIAN, "wife of William", is buried in Delaware Twp, Hancock Co., OH, Earlywine Cemetery. William Sebastian is found in 1820 Census for Perry Twp., Coshocton Co., OH but not thereafter. I believe their sons to be GEORGE SEBASTIAN (b. 1804 PA-d. 31 Mar 1875-will probate date in Hancock Co., OH). I have lots on George Sebastian's family & descendants but nothing else on William & Isabella's other children nor their ancestors. (George's sons were named Henry, George, William, Joseph, & Aaron.) George's daughter Sarah lists her father's birth location as MD in the 1880 Census for Adams Twp., Cass Co., IN. Interesting to note, there is a GEORGE SEBASTIAN listed in Rev. War Records for Frederick Co., MD in Capt. John Middaugh's muster Roll. This George was born in PA about 1757. Would be glad to share info. Hoping for some help & some connections. Searching for info on Barbara Ferguson who married Jesse Wheeler SR 6 feb 1876,Hanncock Co.That's all the info I have on her. Any help would be great. Toni Boise
Surnames: WARD, ROGERS, JOHNSON, ROBERTS, FIELDS I'm trying to prove Mary ROGERS b 1812 Ohio gave birth to my husband's great grandmother, Francis Emily ROBERTS born 1847 Wyandot County, Ohio who at age 14 or 15 married 29 yr old Mahlon James WARD in Hancock County, Ohio. Mary ROGERS married James JOHNSON 6 Sep 1832 in Muskigum County, Ohio. That is a fact proven by marriage records. There was a Zopher JOHNSON who moved from Ohio to Prarie twp, Henry Co, Indiana prior to 1836. Land records there said he came from Muskigum County, Ohio. He was on the Hancock twp, Licking Co, Ohio 1820 & 1830 Census. Could James and Zopher JOHNSON living in Muskigum County about the same time be related? Eighteen years after she married James JOHNSON, Mary A. (JOHNSON) ROBERTS was 38 yrs old, head of household in Crawford township, Wyandot County, Ohio with 5 children: John JOHNSON b 1833 OH, Susan JOHNSON b 1838 OH, Allen JOHNSON b 1842, Mary ROBERTS b 1845 OH, and Fanny ROBERTS b 1847. What happened to Mr. JOHNSON --and Mr. ROBERTS? Where was this family living in 1860? The three JOHNSON children were 18 yrs and older and probably "on their own" by 1860. Were their 1/2 sisters, the two ROBERTS girls, Mary and Fanny still with their mother, Mary A. ROBERTS? A year later in Hancock County, Ohio, on 18 July 1861 the "baby" (?) of the family, Francis (Fanny) Emily ROBERTS married Mahlon James WARD. Fanny's marriage took her from Ohio to Ft. Wayne, Indiana, to Springfield, Missouri and finally to Brookings, South Dakota over the span of about 50 years and produced my husband's father, Orin Ward. Any help out there? -Mary Kay COLE Ward, Richmond,VA WARD, FIELDS, ROGERS, JOHNSON, ROBERTS ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail.
