I have a David M. HENRY (b) June 1824 in Pa? who married 14 May 1850 in Hancock Co., Ohio to Margaret PARISH (b) ca 1830, VA. 1860 Census, Hancock Co. lists the following : David M. 35, Margaret 28, Mary 9, Rosetta 8, Amos 6, PARRISH, Rebecca 14. 1870 Census, Hancock Co., lists: David 45, Margaret 37, John R. 16, Amos 16. They removed to Iowa ca 1879. I haven't found them in 1880 Census. 1900 Census, Harrison Co. Ia. lists: David 75, Widower, (b) June 1824 in Pa. with parents also born Pa. John HENRY (b) 11 Apr. 1851/2 in Hancock Co., Oh. His parents are listed as David M. HENRY & Margaret PARISH? John married 22 Feb. 1873 in Hancock Co., Oh. to Elizabeth Hanna TIMMIE/Tiney/ or similar. (b) 15 Dec. 1852 also in Hancock Co., Oh. They removed to Harrison Co., Iowa ca. 1875. Elizabeth's father listed as Christian TIMMIE. Amos A.? Henry (b) 1854/5 married Winona H. YAGER in Iowa 1882. It seems strange that John R. I need info. on both Amos & John as well as David & Margaret. Glad to share. Thanks in Advance. Mary H. Sorry to bother you again, I am getting ready for a research trip to SLC FHC. I am looking for a marriage between Mable Mae Kibler who was born in 1898 and a George Michenberg. In looking at their website I find that they don't have any marriage records later than 1918 which might make it, but only if she were 20 yrs old or younger when she married. I checked the Hancock Co Genweb site and the only place that had any access to marriage records were the people who will do look ups but they only went to 1864. Does anyone know of a location where I could find marriages any later? Thanks for your help, Alice Harris akh@molalla.net surnames: Hall,Kibler,McClelland,Wagner,Poston,Cartwright, Whitney,McCurdy,

Hi, I am trying to find a death record for my great uncle, Thomas B. Kibler. He was listed as from Eagle Twp, Hancock Co in his father's Obit in 1915 and not mentioned as a surving sibling in his sister's Obit in 1924. So I assume he died in that interval. I checked the online FHLC at the familysearch.org site and the death records don't go that late. Can anyone tell me where I might check to find his death date? Thanks, Alice Harris akh@molalla.net surnames: Hall,Kibler,McClelland,Wagner,Poston,Cartwright, Whitney,McCurdy,
The library here has death records for that time frame on a computer database. I can look it up this weekend for ya to see if I can find it. Unless someone else can get there before hand. I'll email you the info. if I find it. If there is one, would you like me to make a copy of the obit and send it to you? Michelle Reed

To all of you who have helped me so much since I began trying to finish my late mother's genealogy work, here is the URL for my rough draft web page. I wanted the easiest way possible to share what I have found, even though I am VERY VERY unhappy with the outcome from PAF4. Not only is the web site in theat horrible ascendancy order which I find very confusing, but also, for some reason, it will not create a GEDcom for me which I can share with you all. Also, once there is a misspelling or one version of a name entered, it fights you to enter that name EVERYTIME. Thus, I have Irish Johns with the JOHANNES after their names. Also, the parents of my Randal Vernon DID NOT DIE in Chester, PA, but Chester, England. While I am in OH I will try to get someone who has done a great deal of research on some of my lines and who is a FHC volunteer help me sort out the bugs my inexperience has caused. When I come back, I will get NEW GEN software! If you have a suggestion PLEASE EMAIL ME PRIVATELY, NOT THE LISTS!!! mailto:mrshankindybiz@home.com Thank you all for help in the past. Over the next few days I will be unsubscribing to keep my email mailbox from being overwhelmed during the time I am gone. The private email, though, will reach me! Margaret Shank ( Arvada, CO)
My great grandparents, William H and Laura A Morgan Hoffman, lived in Findlay Ohio from 1878 to 1888. I have a picture of their home in Findlay and a picture of McKee School class approx 1882, where their son Raymond Roy Hoffman attended. Looking for information on William H Hoffman's father, Jonathan Hoffman. Only information I have on him is he was married to a Mary Sophia Unknown last. He died in 1916 in Detroit MI. I am trying to trace his father and mother and siblings. Also his other children besides William H.

Hello fine listers, I just had the good fortune of obtaining a free laptop computer from a good friend. It is an older one, about 5 years old. It is a Compaq, no modem, but has a port for diskette's and has Windows 3.1 or Works. I would very much like to find out if I can get FTM in an older version on disk instead of CD or maybe a similar program to do GEDCOM's. Does anyone have any ideas where to get something I need or maybe you have something I could buy off of you? I'm trying different places to find out. I went to the FTM site and found nothing. Is there other programs similar to FTM? Any help is appreciated! This was from another list and thought that it would help researchers determine the time frame and locations of some of the epdemics. PLEASE NOTE that I did not write this, have no idea of where the person got it from or its' accuracy. It is copied as exactly posted. Please refer all comments to the person listed. Thanks...just trying to help. ______________________________

I just found that the wife of my ancestor, Solon Scott Wilch remarried after his death . Scott died in !918 and Florence appears in the 1920 Census living with her mother-in-law Flora Wilch in 1920. Florence apparently married an Ed Jackson in Fostoria but I am not sure of the yr. Does anyone have access to marriage records in the early 1920s? I also have not been able to find a marriage record for Solon Scott and Florence either. I am guessing they were married 1915-1916. Any suggestions as to where I might look or write would be appreciated. Thanks, Alice Harris Alice Harris akh@molalla.net surnames: Hall,Kibler,McClelland,Wagner,Poston,Cartwright, Whitney,McCurdy,
Ok, I went back to the library and talked to Chuck. The story was that ALL the computers in the Findlay/ Hancock Library with internet access was infected. They do have a back-up file for the Obit database, but they are having problems accessing them on the other computers and also printing problems as a result of this. BUT there is one working computer that you can use and print from the obit database. So apparently, I either heard wrong or didn't understand or it was told wrong but not on purpose. So situation found, you can now utilized the Obit database but only on one computer as opposed to 3. That is until they get the others working right again. But it was down for some days. Hope this isn't too confusing. I had to get the story straight. Michelle +Publicity Chairperson for the Newcomers' Club of Findlay, Ohio+ **Enumerator for the U. S.
