    3. Is there anyone who would do an obituary look up for me, in Hancock Co., OH? I am particularly interested in finding an obituary for Nancy McCONNELL who died 22 January 1878 and is buried in UNCB cemetary. Her husband was William McCONNELL who died 26 February 1864 and is buried in same cemetary. I have very little information on Nancy except her maiden name was REED, so am hoping there might be an obituary with additional information that could help me find other siblings of hers, or even parents. Please respond to my email address if you think you have any information or are willing to do a look up. Thanks. Sharon wilcoxphoto@dmci.net

    3. Can someone do an obituary look-up for me on a family member? I am looking for the obituary on William E. Doyle who passed away in Cygnet, Bloom Township, Wood Co., Ohio on August 4, 1918. I had a lady look-up the request for me and there was nothing. She mentioned that maybe he passed away in Hancock Co. in Findlay. This might be correct since I havent been able to any information for the past year in Wood Co. on his death or his place of burial. Can someone do an obituary look-up in the Findlay newspaper? Willing to pay for copies and postage. Thanks!!! Lon Doyle

I am assuming that you are using a PC - - not a Mac. I don't know how to do this on a Mac. 1. 1890 Census ...
    2. Hi to all lists (and I apologize now if some of you are on the same lists I am and get this twice or more times!).... Anyway, my girlfriend Susan was over last night. She used to work at the National Archives and we were talking about the fire and the 1890 census. She said that the 'fire' actually burned WWII records. The 1890 census was water damaged. The Archives appealed to Congress to appropriate money to have them saved and restored but they never did. They just threw them away!!! How sad and disappointing. None of these guys in Congress must have been doing genealogy at the time! 8-( Barbara DAVIDSON Norkus

    2. Dave Koester
    3. Hi All, If you have the desire to adopt a OHGenWeb Project county please send me a list of the counties you would be interested in adopting. This does not mean that those counties will be given to you, nor does it mean that any current County Coordinator is in any jeopardy of losing their county. I am only wanting to have a listing of people whom I might call, if the need arrises. If anyone is looking for an Assistant or would like to be an Assistant County Coordinator, this listing will also be of help. 1. Minnick, Guntner, Hamilton, Thornton
    2. Richard & DeLoris Jensby
    3. I am reposting my Hancock County families. Adam Minnick and wife Elizabeth Guntner came from Dauphin Co, Pennsylvania to Hancock Co, Ohio sometime between 1837 & 1841. They moved on to Allamakee Co, Iowa in 1858. 5 of their 12 children were born in Pennsylvania, the remaining in Ohio. Several of their children were recorded as born in Liberty, Findlay Twp, Hancock Co. I believe this should be Findlay, Liberty Twp, Hancock Co. Can someone confirm this? Is Findlay in Liberty Township and was in it 1850? Adam Minnick is the proverbial brick wall with no info on his parents or siblings. Here is what I have on them while living in Hancock County: Their 2 oldest daughters apparently married the same man. Mary was married to Robert Hamilton and they had a daughter named Amanda. Mary died in May 1852 and her sister Susan married Robert 27 Sep 1852. Susan died in May of 1856. Both Mary & Susan should be buried in the area. Another sister, Eliza Minnick, married Alonzo W. Thornton in Hancock Co in 1855. They moved to Iowa in 1861. Henry Minnick was born 1842; died 1851. Aramenda Minnick was born 1846; died 15 Oct 1855. They should both also be buried in the area. Another possible son, Adam Minnick, was age 2 in 1850 and died before age 8. Names of other children include: John (who was listed on the 1850 census as age 17; I have no other info on him), Levi, Katherine, Sarah, David Adam, Laura Jane & Ira Izaac. Any information on this family or any possible leads to siblings or parents of Adam Minnick would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. DeLoris Jensby jensby@navix.net
