The Cincinnati Public Library used to have a database called CINCH in which one could search Hamilton Co and northern KY newspapers for given surnames. CINCH seems to have disappeared on the current version of their web site. Does anyone know if CINCH is still available? If so, how does one access it? John Charles Tippet johntippet@cox.net
Cinch is gone. I won't repeat it all here, but just uploaded this week some instructions for searching Newsdex for obits. One could say they've updated or improved what was CINCH. The new website for the library is www.cincinnatilibrary.org From the homepage, click on "Research and Homework", then scroll down "Newsdex" and you can search the local papers from there.
