Kennett, Thank you so very much for telling us about this website. My father was born in Burlington and I have ancestors who lived in Florence, Union and Walton. I have been sitting for hours looking at pictures. I found in the history of the Walton Christian Churches several family members mentioned. Gggrandfather Stephen Waite, ggrandmother, Mrs. J C Cross, and ggaunts and uncles. I knew they were part of the history of the church, but to see it in writing was exciting. I have printed the information to send to my father, who is 85. I know he will enjoy reading this. I also printed the information for the Burlington Christian Church because it stated that one of the preachers was a Vardiman. My ggrandmother was a Vardiman and there has been some family lore of her father being a preacher, but the story wasn't very clear. This may help me to research this more deeply and see if this is her father. I still have more to look at and hope to find more of my relatives.
