    2. When I lived in Cincinnati, I remember a very old cemetery in the area of Lunken Airport in the eastern part. I believe that area was called Columbia at one time. You might want to check it out. Some of the old settlers were buried there. I can't remember exactly where it is but I believe it is along Airport Rd. somewhere near Lunken Airport. Yvonne

    3. Columbia Baptist Cemetery aka DAR Pioneer Cemetery - Spicer is located on a rise above Wilmer Ave. near its intersection with Airport Road. This is across the road from the Lunken Airport administration building that also houses a restaurant. According to "A Guide to Genealogical Resources in Cincinnati & Hamilton County, Ohio," 4th Edition, "It was the site of the Columbia baptist Church organized 30 January 1790, the first Protestant church established in the Northwest Territory. The Cincinnati Historical Society has the original records for this church and the cemetery covers about 1.52 acres of land cared for by the Cincinnati Park Board. - Inactive." The above cited publication lists burial sites in Columbia Twp., Hamilton Co., OH on page 48 & 49. The only cemetery listed with a Methodist connection is "Uzzal Ward Methodist Churchyard - Originated in 1801 at the cabin of Uzzal Ward on Duck Creek Road which became 4025 Red Bank Road. In 1824 the Congregation moved to Madison (on MadisonTurnpike) on land given by Benjamin Muchmore for a church building. Burials were removed to Laurel Cemetery. - Extinct." Charles R.
