The Hamilton County Registrar's office has advised me that they hold no birth records prior to 1875, as has the Ohio Historical Society Is there any other way to go? Hi, They told me the same thing when I was looking for the birth record of James Morton TALLEY who was born in Cincinnati, OH on , I believe, 10 Feb 1866. They suggested church records. But I don't know the religion of his parents. Did the newspapers then have birth announcements?
