Hi Phyllis, I don't think they're in business any longer. I checked the recent phone book and business yellow pages, and there's no listing for them. Since I'm having too many "senior moments" these days, <smile> I can't even remember when they may have gone out of business or been bought out by another jeweler in the city. You might try checking the Cinti. Enquirer web page www.enquirer.com and enter Oskamp-Nolting in their search engine to see if any articles show up from recent years...........or a google search might also yield some information. I know there were several Oskamps at one time. A jewelry store and then a store that carried a variety of items. My father said that when his father left Cincinnati in 1902, that he continued to order items from Oskamp-Nolting. My Dad said he used to love looking through their catalog. I just wondered if they were still around. Phyllis G. >>
Thanks Marilyn. Good idea! I know they were still in business in the 1960's, but after that I'm not sure. I did look at what came up with Google, but it was more a history of the founders...very interesting, but no mention of what happened to it.
