I've "rescued" an old photograph of Jesse Ames MULFORD which was taken at the Stevens Studio in Logansport, Indiana. The photograph was likely taken in the 1870's with Jesse appearing to be in his 40's at the time. Based on limited research, I believe that Jesse Ames MULFORD was b. 9 Dec 1830 at Watervliet Center, NY and married Martha Baxter WILSON 17 Jan 1856 at Carthage, OH. In 1880 the family was living in Logansport, IN and recorded in the census there. Jesse was age 49, born in NY, a RR Engineer whose parents were also born in NY. His wife, listed as Marthia was age 47, born in OH to parents also born in OH. The couple had four daughters living with them at the time, including, Luella age 23, Saddie age 20, Edith age 16, and Mollie age 12. The two oldest girls were born in KY and the two youngest in IN. I'm hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to its rightful place, with family.
