He wrote a letter on May 18, 1855 to send him his part of the heritage after the death of the father. There is a second letter 6 years later informing about his succesful settlement. ------------------------- First Generation 1. Johann Jacob Schäfer-11513 was born on 23 Jul 1818 in Immenhausen as son of Johann Jacob Schäfer and Eva Sigler. His profession was blacksmith. He emigrated in 1849 to Cincinnati, OH Johann married (MRIN:4222) Franziska Eugenie Lutz-11518 on 18 Feb 1849 in Immenhausen. Franziska was born on 16 Jun 1824 in Heilbronn. Franziska emigrated in 1849 to Cinicinnati, OH Parents of Franziska: Philipp Lutz, Carpenter in Heilbronn und Christine Friederike Steiner oder Stürmer ------------------------- Any hint for possible descendants of Johann Jacob would be highly appreciated. I can return quite a bit of ancestrial information. Other spellings of the name could be Shaefer or Shafer.
