    2. I too have ancestors that went from one side of the Ohio to the other, particularly noted: Scioto, Brown Counties Ohio and Green and Greenup Counties, KY. My ADLOFF cousin said that on many days when the river was low you could walk from Ohio to KY. My grandmother and family WEISKOPF and GUNTER used rowboats to go from Hamilton County to Rome, Ohio to a cousin's watermelon farm and have fun for a day or two before going back. I wonder what it is like to do that today or if you would even want to. Even obits in current day newspapers include people not only on both sides of the river, but the "tri-state" which means OH, KY, IN & then the tri-county, but I haven't figured that one out cause I come up with at least 4, Hamilton, Butler, Warren & Clermont. I've lived here all my life but what does Tri-county mean, other than the highway?
