    3. Lori, I would look into the headstone if I were you. I only speak from experience, but my brother served in the Army but didn't have combat duty and his sons said they could get a stone for him. But, they procrastinated long enough that my father got impatient and bought one since he and my mother will be in the same plot and it is large enough to put all their names on it. My brother served in the early 60's. We had a Veteran's presentation at his burial, so I would think if he was qualified for that he would be qualified for the headstone.
