    3. Hello, Can anyone tell me where to get death records for Hamiilton County? I have been to the Health Dept. on Elm Street in the past but I know they were moved. Are they at the University of Cincinnati library? What years do they have? Is there anywhere to write to get one? How much is a non certified copy? Thank you for your help. Janet

    3. Hi Janet I didnt know if anyone answered your query yet. The older Birth records (those kept on index cards) were sent to the University of Cincinnati's Blegan Library. The info below is from thier website. They say on the website and on flyers that I have, that an appointment is not necessary, however when I went there on my 2nd visit they would not let us stay and said we needed an appointment. We had went during the hours they had posted on the web, flyers and on thier telephone recording. So....I suggest that you call ahead - since they apparently have conflicting management! Hope this helps. ~Patti -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Email: Archives@ucmail.uc.edu Mail: Archives & Rare Books Library, University of Cincinnati, PO Box 210113, Cincinnati, OH 45221-0113 Phone: 513/556-1959; Fax: 513/556-2113 They have birth records for the City of Cincinnati covering 1874-1909 (with some as early as 1865) and death records for the City of Cincinnati covering 1865-1909.
