I'm wondering if anyone can tell me what the earliest tax lists are? I understand that there are no Ohio Federal Census available for 1800 and 1810. I am looking for John Ritchie. The last named could be spelled differently. Any help would be appreciated. Hope to hear from someone. Karen

I looked in "Early Ohio Tax Records" complied by Ester Weygandt Powell and for the 1810 Tax records there is no James Ritchie There is an Abraham Ritchie under Virginia Military District Tax for 1800 Good luck in your search.
