    3. Karen: The early tax lists of Hamilton County are available on microfilm through your local LDS Church Family History Center. For the years 1816 to 1838 point your browser to: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?display=titledetails&titleno=237430&disp=Duplicate+tax+records+of+Hamilton+County%20%20&columns=*,0,0 and click on View Film Notes. For the years 1801 to 1814 point your browser to: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/fhlcatalog/supermainframeset.asp?display=titledetails&titleno=451489&disp=Tax+records+of+Ohio%2C+1801%2D1814%20%20&columns=*,0,0 and click on View Film Notes It is not generally known that the early tax records (prior to 1815) are bundled in along with tax records from other counties, so if you seach just under Hamilton County, you won't find them (you will find just the years 1816 to 1838 instead). You need to search under just "Ohio" to find the earlier years. You will see from the above that the tax years 1806 through 1814 are available for Hamilton County.
