Hi List: I have also tried to get a marriage record from various places in Cinn., the Courthouse, the library, old newspapers, archives, etc. I had the name & date---- Wm. H. Morgan m. Mary Langan Dec.6, 1865. Always got the same answer, "couldn't be found". I finally contacted the Archdiocese and they sent a copy of when they were married and the names of the witness'. I think one witness was a "Ghost", could never find any followup on him./her. The only A.B. Morgan I found was "five" years old at the time. The other was the sister of Mary. I was looking for the parents of Wm. H. But that info was not on the paperwork. My next quest was to find some kind of death notice for Wm. H. his occupation was carriage maker/ carpenter. He died somewhere between 1891? and before 1912. I know that's a stretch, he seems all to have disappeared, with no visible trace. I tried the various sources for that also, but didn't have any luck. I'm almost ready to just give it up. It really can get discouraging. Maybe something will turn up when I least expect it. Anne
