Hello, I would very much like to be able to correspond with any of three YOUNG brothers who seem to have spent part of their childhood years in or near Cincinnati. And, they seem to have decided to remain in Ohio where they married and might possibly still live. They are: David YOUNG, Jonathan YOUNG, and Jeffrey YOUNG I've checked web sites like www.411.com and www.switchboard.com and there seems to be at least two of each name in Ohio currently. Their father, Winthrop YOUNG, grew up in New Haven, CT, and spent part of his married years in Ohio. Winthrop spent many years researching the YOUNG family name, and typed up a very good "family tree document" and provided a copy to the Killingly, CT, Historical Society. Winthrop's father was Earl YOUNG, only child of Abner and Clara (DEXTER) YOUNG of Killingly, CT. I am interested in Mrs. YOUNG's extended family, including her parents, John and Mary (CLARK) DEXTER, and their adopted daughter, whom they re-named, Mary Anna Clark DEXTER, in 1892. There is a VERY large MYSTERY regarding the birth and birth-parents of my grandmother, Mary Anna Clark DEXTER, born Feb. 1889, and who was reportedly "a foundling" in Boston, MA. I believe she was actually born in Killingly, CT, and the DEXTER's brought her up here when they strangely moved from their life-long home - up to Boston. Winthrop YOUNG's document only has a very brief mention of his great-grandparents, John and Mary DEXTER. And, he made NO reference to his grandmother's much younger adoptive-sister. So, I would like to know if any of his sons in Ohio have their father's "boxes of notes, papers, documents, etc." which he would have used to produce his "family document." Thank you for your time.
