    2. This might be better discussed on OHIO-L, since it seems to pertain to all counties. Somebody there may be more knowledgeable. I would also suggest that you ask the clerk to provide you with the legal citation to support denial of your request. Doesn't the Open Records Law have some provisions for things like this? Wilson Hi Wilson, Thanks for the advice on the adoption and lunacy records. I'll ask on OHIO-L. I plan to keep asking about the availability of all of these types of records because I am concerned we are losing our rights to see them. There should be a set of laws somewhere that tells what is sealed and what is not sealed. It is too bad that my genealogist didn't ask for a legal citation, but she said that she had never encountered a problem like that before. Sincerely, Susan
