    2. What if we all took pages of the morgue book to transcribe and put it on line ? I'm willing to do some. Gayle Clemons Newkirk We will not be remembered by our words, but by our kind deeds. Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath.

    3. Gayle & all, The book is copyrighted & cannot be put online without the author's permission. This book is one of the Hamilton Co. Genealogy Society's more recent publications & I would doubt they would even consider giving permission as it would hinder the sale of the book (who would buy if it was all online?). I'm uncertain how they feel about simple look-ups as these can often lead to someone deciding to purchase the book or on the other hand let someone know that there isn't enough information of interest in the book to want to purchase it. I might mention that Hamilton Co OHGenWeb has a page of volunteers willing to do look-ups in various publications they own. We're always willing to add volunteers too! http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohhamilt/lookups.html Linda Boorom co-coordinator Hamilton Co., OHGenWeb & ALHN ----- Original Message ----- From: <Gaylenewk@aol.com> To: <OHHAMILT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, August 26, 2005 7:41 PM Subject: Re: [OH-HAMILT] Morgue book > What if we all took pages of the morgue book to transcribe and put it on > line ? 3. Linda, Would it be possible to put just the index on line?? I would like to buy the book, but do not want to spend my small genealogy savings on a book that has no value to my line. Thank you for all that you do for genealogy in Hamilton County, you are appreciated very much!! Ira Sharp Dennis in Amarillo, Tex. a long ways from Ohio!!
