    2. Hello, In reviewing the City Directories for several families, I notice the occupation "HUCKSTER". Was this a common street peddler with "cheap" merchandise? Seems liked there were several hucksters listed... Anyone that can enlighten me I'd be very appreciative. Tim Allgeyer

    3. My great-grandfather was a huckster. He used a push cart and sold produce. Some hucksters used horse and wagons. My grandfather was not technically a huckster but a teamster because he delivered ice.
