    1. research in Columbus - questions
    2. Suzanne Maschmeyer
    3. I know this has probably been asked before so sorry for the repeat. I have looked at a website but they can sometimes have incomplete or out of date info. I will be in Columbus at the end of the month with one day to do genealogical research. I prefer not to pay more than a few dollars per copy for any documents. I am especially interested in birth certificates of several ancestors born in Cincinnati, perhaps a few born in Canton. Will staff let me look up these certificates (I have dates) or will they look them up and show them to me so that I can take notes? The website I looked at seemed to indicate that marriage and death certificates from Hamilton Co. were not on file in Columbus. Has someone researched there lately?? Can you tell me what kind of info I can find in Columbus, where (address, any info such as parking, any fees), and any tips as to how to go about this research? I have done genealogical research at libraries including the LDS one in Salt Lake City, Cincinnati Public Library as well as at state archives in Frankfort, KY. Everyone has different systems. If there's time I'd be willing to try to look up a few things for those on the list. I can't promise though. I do have a lot of Cincinnati ancestors. Thanks for any help!
