Wondering if someone could do an obituary lookup. Samuel Bailey ..born Cincinnati, OH 08/28/1830, died Pasadena, CA 02/24/1917. ( Son of Samuel Bailey and Mary Crossin, married Virginia Hanzsche 1866). Was buried in Spring Grove Cemetery 3/2/1917. He was president of the American Laundry Company, operated the Cincinnati Railroad Omnibus Line, organizing member of the Lincoln Club (?), 1880 elected Hamilton County Sheriff. He seems to have been active in the local Republican Party as well. Whewwww. In addition, information on the American Laundry would be welcome if anyone has information on that. Googled it online and did not find much. And what is the Lincoln Club? Thanks Joan Researching: Bailey, Crossin, Hanzsche, Henry.
Joan, At the library today I made a copy of Samuel Bailey's obit and of his wife's obit also. There was an article about the American Laundry Co. in the paper in 1927 and I also copied that for you. I will be happy to send you these copies, if you care to give me your mailing address.
