It would not have been a hotel in the 1950's, possibly the late 1800's but some kind of apartments from the 1900's on...it was huge and red brick..I have picture of my sister and I sitting on the steps and my brothers also. You can see the "P" on the door for Palumbo. The ceilings in this place were so VERY HIGH and in some of the apartments there was the gold gilded paint mirrors that went from floor to ceiling with a marble ledge on some of them, I use to think they were going to fall on us as kids.
