    3. Hi, I am researching my GGGreat Grandpa Thomas Conant Tuttle. He was married March of 1836 in Hamilton Co Ohio to Elizabeth Francis Anderson. I am trying to find what ship Thomas would have gotten to Cincinnati on. A letter states that Thomas Left Maine in Feb of 1835 " Thomas then shipped before the Mast on the High Seas on Coast Wise Trado then secured a birth aboard a Mississippi Steam Boat between New Orleans and St Louis" Thomas left Maine, Penobscot Maine in Feb 1835 and was married March of 1836 ,this is about a year. I am trying to find what ship he was on that took him from Maine to Cincinnati ,and what Steam Boat he was on from Mississippi to Ohio? He was in Hamilton County Ohio for over 15 years and in 1852 packed up the family and went to Indiana, I know he was a Ships Carpenter and First Mate,He is listed in a directory in Hamilton as Ships Carpenter living near the ship yards. I know two of the Steamers he was on,one is Charter Oak which burned in April of 1846-47 in Mississippi, and the George Washington, I have letter from him to his Mother and from his mother to him dated from 1846 to 1850. His brother Oliver is listed in Hamilton Co Ohio as a Fire Fighter and died of Cholera, I think, Was there an epidemic around that time? 1850's+ -, Any suggestions or lookups would be appreciated. I know there was mention of Land Deeds for Hamilton Co Ohio that were found prior to 1960 from another researcher and he died and we can not find any of his research papers or documents. Bye 4 now.. Jerry Tuttle
