Since the marriage record was signed by the groom, and the other handwriting was totally different, I'm thinking a clerk must have written out the information, based on what he thought he heard (Judge was Carl S. Nippert, Deputy Clerk was Ferd Bader. The marriage was performed by another August Meyer, who was a Catholic Priest. What church would he have been assigned to in August of 1902???
