Dear List, Kenner and Delilah (Donovan) Cralle moved from Bracken County, KY to Hamilton County, OH between 1830 and 1839. I am not sure of the exact dates. It appears that their son George Washington Cralle married in Ohio and had three children. It is also possible that that the two unnamed adult daughters also may have married in Ohio. Before 1840, all or most of the family continued down Ohio river to Posey County, IN. I am looking for records for the Cralles (Crawley) in Hamilton County, OH. Any help would be greatly appreciated. In the 1840 Cincinnati City Directory there are no CRALLES or CRAWLEYs listed, but there are two CRAILs, first names Greenbury and Milton, both came to Cincinnati from Kentucky per the directory. Probably not your people, and I know the name does not sound the same, but the spelling caught my eye and I'm posting just in case. Hi, thanks. Yes this is my Kenner Cralle. I received this from a cousin: "1840 Harmony, Posey Co. census for Kenner Cralle and son John who is living next door. If there are no Cralle in the property list under any of the many spellings maybe Kenner and John were renting or squatters on the property of one of the neighbors on this page." George W. should also be in the neighborhood. However, I do not have the Census information. Would it be too much of a intrusion to ask you to send the census information? Linda, thanks. I believe the George W. Crawley could be George Washington Cralle. His younger brother was John M. Cralle. The Crail folks are tantalyzing but do not fit my family. Perhaps my Kenner Cralley followed his son, George to Cincinnati. Does George or John appear in subsequent years.
