Tim. I have an Elizabeth Bechtold from Baden. I don't have dates for her but she married Johannes Georgy Lins (Linz) b. 1716. Their gr grandson Ludwig Lins (Linz) emigrated in 1854. His home town was Altsweier. They apparently passed through Cincinnati where one child was born and they were in Ripley, OH on the 1860 census. They settled in Sandusky, OH. Perhaps relatives were the reason they stopped in Cincinnati. Does that information connect Elizabeth Bechtold to your Bechtold people?
