Gerd may be Gerhard. Try www.hcgs.org ; under data bases there are some Kohlenbergs and Amts in the death notices and marriages. Also look in the records of Deutsche Pionier Verein members; lisings have been published in past issues of HCGS's The Tracer
Dear Miss Sue, I had tried the HCGS site and found a few but no useful hits as of now. Maybe will find some links later. I always save all finds. I have the Deutsch Pionier on paper. No useful hits. We believe our Kohlenbergs left by 1868 and even missed the 1970 Federal Census. That 1868 date is from an old letter by a Cincinnati friend so we believe it. I bought the two new CD's by HCGS and had great hopes but disk 1 has a read error. I talked to Dan Jungclas yesterday and he is mailing me new discs this morning. Dan is a good guy. Thanks for your help. Hello All, I am looking to see if anyone connects the Caveman Family in Cincinnati. If so, please respond directly to my email. Many Thanks! Crystal
