Fletcher & Co. was in Cincy before 851. William N. Hobart joined the firm in the mid-1860's and went on to stablish his own distillery. Hobart sold Diamond Distillery in 1910 to Union istillery. Maddux, Hobart & Co. were key players in the Whiskey Trust in the ate 1890's/early 1900's. The buildings were located in the 100 block of ast pearl St., the southeast corner of Vine and Front St., Gest St. at Mill reek; and on Water St. between Vine and Walnut. The sewage plant is now ocated at the Gest location, and Front and Water Sts. disappeared with the bldg f the baseball & football stadiums. I'm hoping that you may have had an ancestor who worked at the distillery or hat you might have an old photo or postcard showing the bldgs at any of these ocations. I would dearly love to have a scan of any photos/cards that would how what these bldgs looked like. I have most of the genealogical info - names, dates, places - but am hoping to rovide some pictures to my research. Any suggestions of where to search for dd'l information for these named distilleries would be greatly appreciated. I ave been in contact with Cincy library already and they provided what they ould.
