    1. [OHHAMILT] The search for Honora Reardon
    2. Hello, Again; I have made some progress on putting more of the pieces together for my REARDON (RIORDAN/RAIRDEN) family puzzle. Recently, some of you were able to help me learn more about Honora/Hannorah Reardon, whose death index entry I found on the FamilySearch record site. This lady was 93 when she died in March of 1907. She is buried at St. Aloysius' cemetery in the Cheviot/Bridgetown area. Also buried there are Michael, Patrick and Sarah H. Reardon. I spoke with the church office person who was kind enough to check the records for me. Unfortunately, not a lot is written about these folks, so I still don't really know the family connections (to each other or to my family). Is anyone near that area and can visit the cemetery in person? I'm wondering if there are markers for the above and if there might be any more information on those stones, as I have found in other past experiences. It would be necessary for you to check in the rectory to get the location of the Reardon graves, and apparently the record doesn't show for sure where Honora is buried. Hoping she'll be near the others. To clarify what I do know -- my grandmother was born Sarah Honora Reardon, about 1884/86. Her father was Cornelius Reardon (wife Mary Keyes), born in Cincinnati. His father, also Cornelius, was born in Ireland (wife Bridget Ring). I have found just about everyone else in this family buried at St. Joseph's New Cemetery. It seems to have been a large family. Several children in each of those generations and they were often spread out all over the city in the censuses. According to her 1907 obituary, Honora (Hannorah) was the widow of a Patrick, whom I have also been unable to identify. Question is, how are Honora and Patrick related to Cornelius??? There is a marriage index entry for Patrick Reardon to Honora McCarthy 19 June 1853 at St. Xavier. That is most likely the same couple I'm searching for. Any local help appreciated. 3. Ann, Hi. I live about 10 minutes from St Aloysius Gonzaga Cemetery. I can check next time I go there. From the index I have, the only Rairdons are buried in section 1; lot 63. Looks like there's only one monument-with Michael, Patrick & Sarah H on. With a death year of 1907, there may not be much on the monument. I'll let you know.
