Thank you all for the help and suggestions. I have been in contact with the present staff at Beech Acres in the past few years, but they had very little information on the "original" facility as things have changed much there. In fact, I was given some old newspaper articles about my uncle's involvement in the orphanage and sent copies to Beech Acres as they did not seem to have much historical data.
