Dear members of mailing list, I strongly need help by searching marriage, divorce and birth records from Cincinnati. Myself offer to help you for German ancestry researches in Rhineland Palatinate especially Roman Catholic church books. This is my story: I am born 1946 in Germany as an only child without aunts and uncles. My father is an US soldier from World War II who fall in love with my mother when he was stationed in Germany in 1945. Up to December 2009 I had no relationship to my father. We had only some pictures of him, and his army serial identification tag. He got this my mother when he leaved Germany and wrote her up his address in Lafayette, Indiana, USA. We searched all the years for him without result. Then I found suddenly his grave on the web side "Find a Grave". That was the beginning of a modern romance. By the data of the obituary of death I got contact to my American family members. As from now I have a big, big family. My grandfather had 14 children and step children. Sadly they had to raise up in three differing families and so they do not know much from the others. One of my aunts raised up with my father and she knows, that he was married, got a daughter and came in divorce with his wife. Unfortunately she only knows my sisters name and that she lived in Cincinnati, but they had for long time no contact. She must be born in Ohio between 1944 and 1956. And now my question to all members of the mailing list: . Is there somebody who can help me to find my sister Allison Scott (Alison, Alicen, Alyson)? Whole my American family tried to find out the data of Allison, but we had no success. We strongly need help to search through vital records. . Has one of you input or searching possibility to Ohio birth, marriage and divorce records, probably of Cincinnati? This are the data of my father: Vincent Boyd SCOTT, born September 10 in 1924, Lafayette, Indiana, died October 13 in 1969, Standard, Putnam, Illinois, married circa 1944 or 1946, divorced probably before 1956, (we don't know it!) 1956 he moved to Peru area, Illinois. Thank you very much for your help and let me know, when I can return the favor! Sincerely Wolfgang Liphardt
Wolfgang, I checked Cincinnati marriage records from 1963 to 1983 and did not find one for Allison Scott. These records can be found at www.probatect.org Click on Record Search and then Archive Search to see these and other records for Cincinnati, Hamilton County, Ohio.
