Hi Everyone on this list, I was wondering where in Cincinnati could I find a divorce record that was filed by my great-great grandfather, John Dill, from his wife, Elizabeth Dill from Kentucky, on 16 January 1901? If not exactly on the 16th of January ... maybe a little before or after that date. They were living as husband and wife at the time in Crosby Township on a farm, in Hamilton County, Ohio, near New Haven and/or New Baltimore. Perhaps there was a Cincinnati newspaper announcement on John's filing for divorce. I do not know if the divorce was finalized, but if it was, would there have been an announcement in the local newspapers about it in 1901? Also, where in Cincinnati could I write for a copy of the divorce? Thank you so much for any help on where to go from here on this mystery. ~ Barbara (Dill) Noble in Indiana
I would think the probate court website would have divorce records, have you checked probatect.org? The big fires were before 1900 so you should be in luck.
