Thank you for all for helping to verify this marriage. The death certificate of Elizabeth Charles (Lizzie H. Dennis) shows her parents to be William Smith and Rachael Valier and she was born in Riverside, Montgomery, Ohio. This possibly indicates a previous marriage prior to 1878. Looks like I'm on a hunt for an earlier marriage.
