It would appear by the birth dates and places, that your John Cook Sr., must have moved to Indiana shortly after 1830. The 7/29/1872 issue of Cincinnati Daily Gazette, page 4, lists: DIED. COOK - In Terre Haute, Ind., July 26th, James Cook, hardware merchant, in the 74th year of his age. Given that he died in Terre Haute, IN, mention of his death in a Cincy paper might indicate that he had ties to Cincy. ----- Original Message ----- From: "ROBT W AMES" <vickiames@msn.com> To: <ohhamilt@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, July 24, 2010 5:27 PM Subject: [OHHAMILT] Cook Family of Whitewater twp. > > Hi, > > I am new to this list, and I need help on a Cook family of Hamilton > County. > > On the 1820 census there are three Cook names all living next door to each > other. I don't think that this is my John Cook as the Fountain Co., Indiana cemetery index has him buried in the Rob Roy cemetery death date as 3 Nov. 1833. On the 1840 census it has Sarah as head of household. > From: dbuckle02@fuse.net > To: ohhamilt@rootsweb.com > Date: Sat, 24 Jul 2010 20:57:09 -0400 > Subject: Re: [OHHAMILT] Cook Family of Whitewater twp. > > It would appear by the birth dates and places, that your John Cook Sr., must > have moved to Indiana shortly after 1830. > > The 7/29/1872 issue of Cincinnati Daily Gazette, page 4, lists: DIED. > COOK - In Terre Haute, Ind., July 26th, James Cook, hardware merchant, in > the 74th year of his age. > > Given that he died in Terre Haute, IN, mention of his death in a Cincy paper > might indicate that he had ties to Cincy. > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "ROBT W AMES" <vickiames@msn.com> > To: <ohhamilt@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Saturday, July 24, 2010 5:27 PM > Subject: [OHHAMILT] Cook Family of Whitewater twp. > > > > > > Hi, > > > > I am new to this list, and I need help on a Cook family of Hamilton > > County. > > > > On the 1820 census there are three Cook names all living next door to each > > other.
