Using this method will usually allow us to process your item within one to two business days. Give them your exact citation(s), your e-mail address if you are requesting e-mail delivery, your mailing address (necessary for back-up methods of delivery), phone number (in case we need to contact you re any questions/problems), and if applicable, your fax number. Phone requests are limited to 3 citations per phone call, two phone calls per day, one before noon and one after noon. Larger lists of citations may require multiple phone calls over several days. This limit is necessary because we get hundreds of requests per month, and have a limited number of staff. There is no one assigned exclusively to this task. We can deliver the document to you in one of three possible ways. 1. We can usually make a scanned copy of it via a new program we have and e-mail it to you. We will not know if it is possible to deliver any specific document via this method until we actually look at the original document. Sometimes the clarity of older documents can be inconsistent. The copies that result from this process are sometimes not extremely clear when the quality of the original is poor. This happens most often with documents that are in microform format. When this occurs, it is best to simply make a print copy from the microfilm/fiche and mail the print copy to you. If you request this method of delivery, and we find that it is not going to work, we will let you know via phone or e-mail if we are going to send it via an alternative method.
