    3. It would appear by the birth dates and places, that your John Cook Sr., must have moved to Indiana shortly after 1830. The 7/29/1872 issue of Cincinnati Daily Gazette, page 4, lists: DIED. COOK - In Terre Haute, Ind., July 26th, James Cook, hardware merchant, in the 74th year of his age. Given that he died in Terre Haute, IN, mention of his death in a Cincy paper might indicate that he had ties to Cincy. ----- Original Message ----- From: "ROBT W AMES" <vickiames@msn.com> To: <ohhamilt@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, July 24, 2010 5:27 PM Subject: [OHHAMILT] Cook Family of Whitewater twp. > > Hi, > > I am new to this list, and I need help on a Cook family of Hamilton > County. > > On the 1820 census there are three Cook names all living next door to each > other. 3. Vicki, Just quickly read this, and I see one of the sons is named after James Oury. I do have some information on him if you are interested. He was somewhat a prominent fellow in the 1820s-40's in Whitewater Township. As far as your Cooks go, I will have to dig into my WHitewater Twp info but I'm not very familiar with the family. As far as the two maiden names, it is possible that she was a widow. If I find something on the Cooks, I'll get back you. GIve me several days, I may not get right to it! 1. Re: [OHHAMILT] KRUSE & KONERMANN
    2. All; I'd like to add another KRUSE to Tim's request. In 1867, (Johan) Philipp BORGELT married Longina BECKEMEIER at Old St. Mary's in Cincinnati. One of the witnesses was Elisabeth KRUSE, the other William BECKEMEIER, apparently Longina's brother? At any rate, it appears the witness couple also married later. I'm trying to learn more about what happened to Longina Beckemeier Borgelt. They are not located anywhere on the 1870 census, in 1880 Philipp Borgelt was in the Soldiers Home in Dayton. This was his second marriage and family stories say there were children, but nothing other than the wedding has been found.
