    3. Recently I asked if anyone knew when Oskamp-Nolting store closed in Cincinnati. I have since gotten my hands on an article from a Cincinnati newspaper, dated November 19th, 1980, announcing their closure. A very brief (not much history in the article) summary of the article is below: "Oskamp-Nolting to Close Store Christmas Eve: The Texas parent company of Oskamp-Nolting Co. will close the jewelry and appliance store at 26 W. Seventh St. on Christmas Eve, one month short of the firm's 100th birthday. ....the downtown store was yielding a "less than desirable return". Oskamp-Nolting evolved from a wholesale jewelry store founded in January, 1881, by Clemens Oskamp. The company moved from 411 Elm St. to the five-story building on Seventh St. in 1911." William Bundy, Howard Henderson, was a general in the Confederate Army, Robert Reynolds (my gr-grandfather's brother - born in Cincinnati 1866) and Robert Dunning. Frederick Niederhelman was a member of the camp but doesn't appear in the picture. The picture was sent to the paper I think before 1940 but it appeared in column "Turing Back the Clock" and was taken at an earlier date. Chris

    3. Margaret, There is an Anton AMRHEIN in Vine Street Hill cemetery, but he is listed as a son of George. There are several other AMRHEIN children interred here - Albert, Conrad, Emilie, Mary and a unnamed infant that was stillborn. They are all listed with George as their Dad. The details on Anton are: died on 16 May 1893 at age 1y 10m. He is buried in Sec. 11, Lot 236 , grave 1. There are no Anton or Anthony AMRHEIN's in Wesleyan Cemetery. 3. I am looking for information on John Glenn b 1797 in either Ohio or Kentucky. He fought in the War of 1812 and discharged in Gallatin County Co in 1815. Some record said he was born in Franklin Co. Ky in 1797 which went all the way to the Ohio River. This area later became Gallatin County He said in the 1860 census that he was born in Ohio. There was a Hugh Glenn in Hamilton County but I have not made any connection here.. He married in Switzerland Co Indiana to Lorena Reed in 1820. I wonder if he was in the "Indiana Gore" or Dearborn County after Hamilton County area was in Indiana. I am looking for his parents name, I have a hunch his fathers name was William. I would appreciate any information anyone might give. It is my "Brick Wall" Dean Glenn dglenn@hal-pc.org
