We have a member of the Williams family from Cincinnati who went to Minnesota. A son of John Fletcher Williams possibly. In the family records he is known as Louis Williams. There are many problems. One place he is listed as born in Ohio. In another Kentucky. After he leaves home, he lists his parents as both born in Germany and his birthplace as Ohio. He was born supposedly June 1856. John Fletcher Williams was married to Catherine Roberts in 1857-September in Minnesota. We can not find any other marriages and letters we have found to one of his brothers mentions nothing about a pregnancy or marriage. He seems to have left Ohio in 1856.Another possible can of worms is that Louis's name could have been Luther-but Luther Williams or Luther and another last name. This comes from two letters from Margaret Troutner Williams-John Fletcher Williams' mother and she also mentions that he has been alone most of his life. The The Samuel Williams lived in the area close to the German Orphanage in Cincinnati and we have also checked the possibility of it being one of two servant girls who lived in the home around this time and have met a dead end on both. Unfortunately, even though John Fletcher Williams was a wonderful family genealogist, he leaves us absolutely no clues. He may have intended to leave information but had a stroke and then died of softening of the brain which we think was Alzheimer's. Can someone tell me where to look? I have hunted for every possible solution to this particular one with no results to present. Thank you. Pat Morano
Charlotte, there is an obit for Robert Henson in the Cincinnati Enquirer of Jan. 28, 1968 page 2g col. 1, and a death notice in the Cincinnati Post Times-Star of Jan. 29, 1968 page 26, col. 7. You can ask for copies of these by sending an email to marianne.reynolds@cincinnatilibrary.org It may take a while to receive them. I sent for some in July and have not yet received them. Hello, Can someone please tell me where I should look for an obituary for my great uncle, Robert HENSON from 1968? He died on January 26, 1968, in Cincinnati but is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery, Southgate, Campbell County, Ky. Thank you, Charlotte Miller
I am researching the Moore family who had a number of descendants living in Hamilton County through the 1900's. Is there anyone who is researching the names of Nancy Moore Pierson, Amanda Stevens or Charles Stevens, Helen Winterbottom, Mabel Milliard, or Harry Moore. Most of these were in Norwood in 1900. There was also a Fanny Bryce. I have details of her being in that area at that time, but cannot locate her on the census. I'm hoping someone out there connects with one of these. Happy Hunting. Gene, The Hamilton Co Probate site is here: http://www.probatect.org/index.htm In the left column select "case search" & from the drop down menu select "case search". From there you'll be able to search for recent (last 10 or so years) probate activity by last name. I have this and many more links to information & places in Hamilton Co., on the Research Aides page of Hamilton Co OHGenWeb: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ohhamilt/cresources.html Linda Boorom ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gene F." <nyfd148@comcast.net> To: <OHHAMILT-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, October 01, 2005 2:19 PM Subject: Re: [OH-HAMILT] recent obit > Bob, > > How do you check the probate records and what years are covered. > > Gene F. >

The birth looks close, but I know that she had to have died this current year. Two of my aunts had visited her last winter. I really appreciate everyone's help. My family was very upset to find out she had passed away. No one from my side knew about it. I will try to see if I can find out any more information tomorrow. I'll let you know what I come up with. Thanks again, Lisa
I also checked Hamilton Co Probate and the only Walkers listed concerning a will or administration of estate for 2005 are Gloria, Mary, and Vera. Bob
I found this in the SS Death Index: Antoinette P. Walker 13 Jun 1930 3 Aug 2003 Columbus, Franklin, Ohio Could this be yours? Let me double check on her last name. I always thought that she went by her late husband's last name, but I for some reason she may have went by another. I appreciate your help. Lisa
I checked the social security death index for Antionette Walker, and I got no matches. Possible she went by another name? Bob
I appreciate the help. Lisa
Thank you Mom.
I looked at Cincinnati.com and did not find her name listed. It lists both the Cincinnati Enquirer and Cincinnati Post listing. Can someone give me a list of Cincinnati newspapers? I'm looking for an obit from earlier this year. It was for my great aunt Antionette Walker. She was my grandmother Wymer's sister. I found out that she has recently passed away, but I'm not for sure when. Thanks for any help. Lisa
Hi; Seems to me that's pretty good news for anyone who has taken an interest in the plight of Wesleyan Cemetery. I've seen a lot of messages here in the past few years about the situation. Congratulations to those of you who stood your ground. I hope the city follows through with some real positive action now. By the way, I was unable to reach the article with the links provided in the previous posting, following is what I did get to by browsing and then searching on the Enquirer site. _http://news.en quirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050928/NEWS01/509280361/-1/all_ (http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20050928/NEWS01/509280361/-1/all) Ann Bergelt
