    3. Good luck, Stephanie.....A few years ago,I tried dealing with various offices in Hamilton Co regarding this book.....very little help available for me. No one seems to have the documents referred to in the book. Hope you have better luck than I did. Recently, a very good genealogist friend did find Hamilton Co deeds from early to mid 1800's.....he was researching at Salt Lake, and found much of what we needed there. We were so grateful, because we would never have been able to get to Salt Lake. Sorry, hope you have good luck! Our surname we are researching is OSBORN. Barbara Head Ward

    3. HISTORY OF CINCINNATI AND HAMILTON COUNTY. - 219 CHAPTER X1. THE CINCINNATI CREMATION COMPANY. It is learned from C. M. Lotze, Esq., that this company was organized October 4, 1884, On this occasion the following gentlemen met in his office, in the Wiggins block, to consider the proposition, and they became the original founders: Otto Rauchfuss, C. AT. Lotze, Albert Meininger, V. M. Mayer, C. A. Nulsen, Julius Greyer, Benn Pitman, Samuel Burnstein, Charles Jacobs, Jr., and Henry Oliver. The following were the first officers chosen: President, Charles Jacobs, Jr.; vicepresident, C. A. Nulsen; secretary, Albert Meininger; treasurer, Henry Oliver; attorney, C. M. Lotze. The Association was incorporated as a company October 26, 1884, and the first general meeting was held at Central Turner Hall, and the building of the crematory was begun in June, 1885. It is situated on Dixmyth avenue, near Burnet woods, on an elevation overlooking Mill creek valley. The building is oval in form, massive, and constructed of Indiana limestone. It contains a chapel, residence rooms for the superintendent, a basement, where the preparing rooms, two retorts, and furnace rooms are situated. 1. [OHHAMILT] Rosenberg Bakery circa 1956
    2. Hello Members, I'm trying to confirm the accuracy of a wee bit of family lore. Could you please help me. Does anyone know if there was a Cincinnati Bakery circa 1956 called: Rosenberg Bakery on Vine Street at 13 th Street. If so, any known photos available? My rellies supposedly lived on the fourth FLOOR of a building at this address with a Rosenberg Bakery on the ground floor. Thanks! This list is always so friendly. 2. Hello Hamilton County Members, I've searched high and low and now I'm coming to you brilliant folks for assistance. I'm researching a relative (Daniel Murphy) who was cremated in Cincinnati circa 1956. He lived in the downtown area. It is my understanding that cremation was not extremely popular at that time. WHO/WHERE would have been the crematorium in Cincinnati at the time? Thanks!! Deborah **************Start the year off right.
