Is Carthage Road Cemetery and Vine Street Hill Cemetery the same? Paula
Thanks Marian, but I'm not a member. I filled in his name and hers and they are listed, but I can't go any further. I think I know some one who is a member, I'll see if he can help me. Judy, Yes, it is a Jewish Cemetery. It says Lick Run on a death record I have for David Goldsmith but he is actually buried in Judah Touro which is in Price Hill. I found information on _http://jungclas.com/gensite/hamilton/jewish.htm_ (http://jungclas.com/gensite/hamilton/jewish.htm) which may be of some help. "Jewish Cemeteries or Lick Run Cemeteries , 1625 Sunset Avenue (in Price Hill off Rapid Run Road, also called by names of plots belonging to individual congregations including Judah Touro, Love Brothers, the Spanish, Russion and Polish Hebrews, K.K. In the census or street directory in Cincinnati, I am looking for an Edward E. Williams, around 1890. He married a Clara Baldock in 1891 in Cincinnati. By 1900 they were living in the Cleves area on a farm, but I wondered if there are records showing he may have lived in Cincy before that. His wife's family did, some where near Poplar St., as the church they were married in is in that area. I'm wondering if they met in the neighborhood or at their work place. Thanks, Joan Williams Miami, FL.

Linda Boorum, bless her, has posted a photo of my 3G-grandfather, Bailey S. Harrell, to the Hamilton County, OH, GenWeb site. This link will take interested researchers to the page that has the transcription of the vital records from his family Bible and that links to his obits and photos of the Bible. I am cross-posting this message to the Harrell email list. http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~ohhamilt/bibleharrell.html Sue
Judy, I did a quick google search for "Lick Run Cemetery" as I didn't have anything on my cemetery page for Hamilton Co OHGenWeb, but it did ring a bell with me. Check this website: http://www.jewishgen.org/cemetery/northamerica/ohcinn.html midway down it states " a.. Lick Run Cemetery: Source: Dr. Leonard Spialter, [email protected] This is not actually a cemetery, but the name put on death certificates that refer to a collection of cemeteries. Lick Run is an east-west creek, probably running into Mill Creek, that runs north-south into the Ohio River. Many of these certificates may mean Schachnus Cemetery. Source: JGS Cincinnati." If you search the page for Schachnus it appears to be in Price Hill. Hi Steven. If you go to http://search.labs.familysearch.org/ you can search the Ohio Death Certificates for certain dates. I found Antonnetta KLUS there. I think she died in 1927. Also Kate/Katherine is there. She married someone named MITCHELL and she died in 1940. If you put in the name "Joseph KLUS" as your search name you will find both of them. I don't know where Joseph is. He must have died before 1908. Happy hunting. Margaret
