So I have collected the following information on this family: (1) 1 John NEEL, M b. ? 1820 d. AFT 1842 & Jane DYSART, F b. ? 1820 (2) 1.1 Asberry NEEL, M b. 13 DEC 1841 d. 2 OCT 1918 & Sarah Eleanor ?Ella? WHITCRAFT, F b. 15 JUL 1847 d. 27 SEP 1887 m. 5 SEP 1867 (3) 1.1.1 Rev. John William NEEL, M b. 4 SEP 1877, OH d. 10 MAR 1965, Los Angeles Co., CA & Hester Moore CUMMINS, F b. 28 JUL 1882 d. 5 JUL 1970 m. 7 DEC 1912 Sources on request. I know nothing about the siblings of Asberry you list, but it occurs to me that the Sarah you mention right after Asberry could be his wife rather than his sister. But then again maybe not, that was a common name at the time.
