I have a Junia Preston, born October 21, 1754, in Ashford, Windham County, CT, to John Preston and Mary FORD. He married Artymesa/Artimesa/Artimesy Marshall (1758/60-18??). It appears that their "first" child, Zerepta Preston, was born April 23, 1779, in Torrington, CT. (The town clerk only wrote one Preston infant on this page, left blank for others, but none were listed.) Thus I have been unable to confirm the births of the other children born to this couple. Junia is NOT found again until the 1800 census in Huntington Township Luzerne County, PA, where Junia died in December 1822. Artymisa Preston married #2 - William FORD (1746-1823) on June 26, 1823, in Washington County, OH. I have been told that Artymisa married #3 - Amos Stackhouse (1758-1844) in Athens County, OH, on March 14, 1840. The line I am researching is "Preston" and I would enjoy hearing any additional information that you have on any of the above.
