I was there for the first time in the middle of a huge rain storm last July, so didn't get to spend much time. I read somewhere that it was behind the Presbyterian Church that is now a Methodist Church, but I don't remember seeing a church when I was there. The gravestones in the old part of the cemetery are in very bad condition and very difficult to read (some impossible). I believe there was also a Friends Church in Londonderry Township during the middle 1800 time period, but do not know if it had a cemetery attached or not. I think the Friends church is a little further north than the town of Londonderry. My ggggrandparents are buried in Sunset View, as are some of their children (plus spouses) and grandchildren. My ancestor is shown as first buying land in Londonderry under a federal land patent in 1837, but I think it is possible they were living there for a few years before and purchased their farm privately. It is my impression that it was (and still is) a fairly small community and from what I've read for the period of 1830s through 1880s, I keep seeing the same family names over and over. There is a book available called Londonderry Township Cemeteries and Other Historical Data, Guernsey County, Ohio by Alice H. Morton. A cousin of mine was sent one page of this book from the Harrison County Genealogy Society (the page that has some of our family names listed). I am going to try to get a copy of the entire book and will be happy to share if and when I find it. I just looked at an 1855 Atlas that I have, and there is an A. Glasgow with a 180 acres right next to the property that I believe was my ggggrandfather's. In the 1870 Atlas, it is in the name of my ancestor's son in law and I think they bought the property after my ggggrandfather died in 1844. An 1870 Atlas still shows the property in the name of A. Glasgow. If I'm reading this map correctly, it looks to me as if the Sunset View Cemetery is on property that belonged to the Glasgow's or is right next to it. Betty
