My ggg-grandmother was Nancy Dennison Wire b. Harrison Co., VA about 1786, d. Guernsey Co. about 1844, also buried at Mt. Zion with her husband Benjamin Wire b. VA 1775 d. 1861 (their daughter Elizabeth married William Siens, my gg-grandfather, and they're all buried at Mt. Zion). Nancy's daughter Hannah married a Sarchet; they went to Coffee Co., KS. Are the Delarues connected to the Sarchets? I'm trying to figure out the early Guernsey Co. Dennisons. Nancy's father was Henry Dennison, who seems to have been an early Guernsey Co. settler (b. Fauquier Co., VA ca. 1765, m. Jane Dixon in Fauquier Mar. 21, 1787). One of Nancy's sisters married James Kilbreath, one Samuel Griffin, and one George Arnold, and they all seem to have moved from Harrison Co., VA (now WV) into Guernsey Co. sooner or later. I'll be glad to share anything of interest and to hear from anyone with Guernsey Co. Dennison connections.
