My maternal grandmother's grandparents were Squire Smith and Eliza Rose from near Quaker City, Guernsey Co. Ohio. This area was a part of Belmont Co. until 1810 when Guernsey Co. was formed. Squire Smith's parents were William Smith and Elizabeth Holt - both born in England, and coming to Washington City (D.C.) early 1800's. Wm was a stonemason and worked on the Capital. From there, they came to Barnesville, and then Pultney Ridge in Guernsey Co. I can do a short WORD doc with as much info as I have (not a lot of dates unfortunately) for you from my family tree software, if you wish.
