Author: s w <[email protected]> Surnames: Shafer Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AWB.2ACE/2213 Message Board Post: My father, James Milton Shafer 's 1917 draft card lists his residence as "Guernsey County Jail" and a newspaper clipping someone looked up for me a few months ago stated he was at the Ohio State Reformatory (as it was called then) around 1917 as well. He was born in Cambridge in 1899. I'm not sure if the 2 incarcerations are one in the same but I am trying to find out what he was arrested for and have hit a brick wall. Would anyone know how I can find that info out? I have written the Jeffersonian to no avail. All info on him would be very much appreciated. PS I am not IN Ohio.

    3. The Guernsey County Genealogical Society might have that info. They have a lot of Court Records. Their address is 125 N.
