    3. I have read with interest your posting. I too am seeking info on CLARK and BRYAN. Should any of the following info be something you may have discovered in your research, and you can add to it, please so inform me. I would appreciate hearing from you since I've been digging for 10 years for these people and their respective parents. The fact that there where 4 CLARK families in Gue. Co., Oh. all unrelated really does make research a trying task when dealing with dates of 1790 to 1820, even before and after these dates. Here is briefly what I know: ALEXANDER CLARK, b 15 Oct 1801, PA or Oh, d 18 May 1870, Coles Co., Ill., bur Mound Cem. Married MARY/NANCY BRYAN b bef 1800, place unk, d aft 20 Oct 1835--bef 20 Aug 1837, Camb. Twp., Gue. Co., Oh. They married 11 mar 1819, Camb. Issue: male (name unk) b 1820, William Bryan Clark b 1822, Rachel b 1826, Mary Jane b abt 1827, Amanda b 1830, Hannah Jane b 1835. All born in Cambridge. MARY/NANCY BRYAN CLARK may have died or divorced, after the birth of Hannah. The next event of record is ALEXANDER re-marries to MARY JANE TURNBAUGH, 20 Aug 1837. The 1840 census indicates a new family by this union, along with the children of Alexander and Mary/Nancy. Determined by ages indicated on page 371 of the census. "Roots and Branches" newsletter, Vol 12, No. 1, included an article titled "The Old Graveyard in Cambridge". An entry dated Thursday, Sept 16, 1894, states in part--" Some died at the time of the scarlet fever scourge that swept over Cambridge in 183(5)",--last # hard to read. Alexander and his 2nd wife left Gue. Co. in 1865 and moved to Coles Co., Ill. for what reason I have not discovered. Alexander died 5 years later. If your research of the various 4 Clark families of Gue. Co. includes any additional info about the above persons (or maybe you have never heard of this group) please let me know. Thanks for your time, Jan
